FIRST TIME TRAVELLING ABROAD? AS A STUDENT?

Yes! Yes! Yes! You're reading it right. T'was my first time travelling abroad and I'm currently studying in College. I recently travelled to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei for 4 days and 3 night.
I'm travelling with my sister's friend and I really enjoyed their company. They are easy to deal with and they're kalog too. So adjusting is not a problem. I just wanna take this opportunity to say thank you to them, Ian Olpindo and Kyra Castro for helping us from Preparing documents, booking hotels, and reminding us always on what to do and say when we face the Immigration Officer. They also give us some tips on how to deal with Immigration Officer.

As a student, travelling International is exciting and ofcourse a lil'bit nervous. There might be a lot of questions running in your head right now. So, I'll share some tips based on my experience.

PREPARATION

Preparing everything you need is very Important to AVOID offload. As a student, I prepared my documents ahead of time.

1. Passport - Bring the Original with you and also photocopy it. Just incase you lose your documents it will be easier if you have a copy to show.
2.Visa - When needed
3. Return Flight Ticket - You need to print out your Flight Tickets because you'll be showing it too many times and it will be easier for you and for the people in counter who will check the details of your flight. In order to avoid bringing out your phone and also hassle in line. PRINT IT OUT.
4. Hotel Reservation - You need to get the exact Address of the hotel and Contact number. Immigration Officer might ask you about it.
5. School I.D - In my experience, the Immigration Officer asked for my School I.D to prove that I am a Student.
6. Certificate of Enrollment - In case they ask you if you're currently enrolled. You can give it to them together with your Registration Form.
7.Travel Itinerary - In my case again, Immigration Officer asked for our Itinerary since I'm travelling with my sister and her friends. Better print it out!! Because i forgot to print it.
8. A PEN - You should bring a pen!! Because your pen is your bestfriend when you are travelling outside. You'll be accomplishing forms many times. HAHAHAHA

I bring an envelope where I put all my documents together.

One thing I forgot to do is that i didn't write down all my details needed when filling up some forms like my passport number, passport expiry date, flight number, hotel address and contact number. So i need to bring out all my documents to accomplish the form.

I'll be writing and post here my experience when I faced the Immigration Officer.

Keep Updated!!!
